Located just north of downtown in the quaint town of West Stockbridge Massachusetts, this small cedar shake building is artfully arranged with thoughtfully chosen gifts and home decor, creatively revamped lamps, and lovingly restored furniture. 

 

The mix of antique, vintage, and new items is what sets Flourish Market apart from other shops in the area. The founder, Jennifer Knopf, believes that our homes should be decorated with authenticity. That is, our homes should contain the heirloom we inherited from our grandparents, as well as the new piece we just picked up at one of the chain stores. Combining both, in a thoughtful way, gives a home a collected-over-time feel, full of realness and texture - essential to great design.

With charm and certainly some quirk, Flourish Market is truly a treasure trove. Most of the furnishings have been revived, reworked, or repainted - receiving much needed TLC. Antique lighting fixtures are a passion of Jennifer's. She transforms these ho-hum and often cast-off fixtures into something fresh and remarkable. Between rewiring, refinishing, and selecting the perfect new shade, each one is rescued from its shabby past.

 

The store offers many items handmade in the Berkshires, such as Blue Thistle Studio hand-poured soy wax candles in vintage vessels, as well as greeting cards - all made with care by artist and sales assistant, Mary Rembold. Vintage clip-on earrings and buttons have been up-cycled into bookmarks by Jennifer herself.
