Lovely set of 4 Mid-Century pewter candleholders made by Metzke. Shaped like dogwood flowers, these candleholders will hold skinny taper candles or nothing at all. Each flower measures approximately 2 inches in diameter and is about 1/4" tall.
An American pewter company, Metzke was founded by Dr. Fred Metzke, along with his wife Mary and originally called Designs by Metzke in 1963. Eventually, Metzke Pewter grew to feature over 3,000 designs and were manufactured in Tallahassee, FL before closing in 1997.
